Rory Max Kaplan
Director, Actor, Musician, Engineer
Born and raised in New York, RMK started his professional artistic career in 2011 as an actor traveling to different regional theatres across the US - though his love and experience in voice-over began much earlier.
Shortly after releasing his first single and music video, covering Paul Simon’s “The Boxer”, Rory made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning musical, Jersey Boys. During his time at the August Wilson theatre he was offered the role of “Tommy DeVito” for the 10 year anniversary international ad campaign. From there he landed a stand out role in the original Broadway cast of A Bronx Tale The Musical, co-directed by Robert DeNiro. His voice can be heard soloing throughout the cast album.
While on Broadway, Rory was cast in several dubbing projects - both live action ADR and animation, which led to his re-accruing role as “Cameron” in Pokémon. Bit by the director bug, RMK was approached by AudioWorks to direct a handful of high-profile projects, later released on Amazon Prime Video. Such titles include — “The 800”, “Viking”, “The Nest”, “Invisible Boy I & II” and “Once Upon A Time In The Desert” (release TBD).
